Accommodations: A block of rooms for the Welty conference are on hold at Homewood Suites by Hilton ($119 per night). The hotel is approximately one mile from campus, and Millsaps will be providing periodic bus transportation to the conference venue in the mornings and evenings. The conference rate is available 4/9/25 to 4/13/25 and can be secured by using the reservation link.

By Plane: The closest airport is Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International (JAN), which is around 13 miles from campus and the hotel. JAN partners with a number of rental car agencies such as Budget, Avis, Enterprise, etc. See this link for more information on ground transportation available at the airport.

By Car: Millsaps College is located in the heart of Jackson, Mississippi at 1701 North State St, Jackson, MS 39210. Daily parking will be available on site.  You can use this link to personalize your driving directions.

Parking on campus: From the parking lot of the hotel, turn left on Lorenz Blvd and then take the next right onto N State Street. You will travel South on N State Street for about 1 mile. Drive past the Riverside Drive entrance to Millsaps and turn right on Park Avenue. Drive to the end of Park Avenue until you arrive at a parking lot on your right. This is where you can park. The Christian Center, where the conference will be held is located across from the parking lot (if facing the covered part of the parking lot, then the Christian center will be behind you).
